Strivacity Named a Challenger in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for CIAM
Built to Challenge. Positioned to Execute.
Gartner has published its dedicated Magic Quadrant for Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), and we're proud to share that Strivacity has been positioned as a Challenger.
In the report, Gartner defines customer identity and access management (CIAM) as tools that provide features and functions to enable secure and frictionless access for key constituencies and use cases, including customers, partners and machine identities. These identities include AI and can exist across all constituency groups.
It's an exciting milestone for Strivacity and an important moment for the CIAM market. Gartner evaluates vendors on two dimensions, Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision, and being positioned as a Challenger is something we're incredibly proud of.
We've spent years building a different kind of CIAM product, challenging the complexity, cost, and limitations that have traditionally come with enterprise identity.
Key takeaways
- Gartner recognition: Strivacity is positioned as a Challenger in the dedicated 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM).

Why the Gartner Magic Quadrant for CIAM matters now
Customer identity is changing, and so are enterprise expectations.
CIAM has traditionally focused on registering users, authenticating customers, and securing access to digital services. Those capabilities still matter enormously, but today's requirements go much further.
Businesses need to manage more complex relationships with customers and partners, deliver better digital experiences, prevent fraud, and prepare for AI agents that can act on someone's behalf.
Authentication is only part of the equation. Authorization, consent, identity orchestration, delegated access, and visibility into identity activity are becoming increasingly important.
From our perspective, three shifts are reshaping the CIAM market.
Identity shouldn't be fragmented. Customers, partners, and AI agents have different access requirements, but that shouldn't mean managing an increasingly complicated collection of identity products. Businesses need a more unified approach.
Knowing who someone is isn't enough. Organizations also need to understand what customers, partners, and AI agents are authorized to do. That distinction becomes especially important as agentic commerce develops.
Identity needs to deliver business value. Strong security matters, but so does reducing friction, improving customer experiences, increasing conversion, and giving teams visibility into what's working and what isn't.
For us, the future of CIAM isn't about adding more identity products. It's about making increasingly sophisticated identity requirements easier for businesses to manage while delivering better experiences for the people they serve.
And that's exactly the challenge we've been building Strivacity to solve.
What makes Strivacity different from traditional CIAM vendors?
We've never believed enterprise-grade identity should require a complicated collection of products, shared infrastructure, or costly modernization projects.
Strivacity takes a different approach: one CIAM product for customers, partners, and AI agents, delivered through a dedicated single-instance SaaS architecture with data residency built in.
Here's what that means in practice.
One CIAM product for customers, partners, and AI agents
If you're managing customer identity, partner access, and increasingly AI agents, the last thing you need is more products to stitch together.
Strivacity brings customer and partner identity capabilities into a single product, from authentication and consent to identity orchestration, delegated administration, and identity insights. We're also extending those capabilities to support AI agents acting on behalf of customers.
That simplicity carries through to pricing. Our primarily monthly-active-user-based model includes core CIAM capabilities, dedicated infrastructure, and support, rather than forcing businesses to license multiple products to get what they need.
It's a simpler way to buy, deploy, and manage identity.
Single-instance SaaS with data residency built in
One of the biggest architectural differences between Strivacity and traditional CIAM offerings is our single-instance SaaS approach.
Every customer gets their own dedicated, independently deployed instance, including isolated compute, application services, database, and network resources.
That gives businesses the benefits of dedicated infrastructure, including greater isolation, predictable performance, and regional data residency, without having to manage the infrastructure themselves.
And it's not an expensive architectural upgrade. It's how Strivacity is delivered by default.
For enterprises managing large customer populations, operating across different regions, or working within strict data requirements, we think that distinction matters.
Modernizing identity shouldn't mean starting over
We speak with plenty of organizations that know their current CIAM solution isn't meeting their needs but are understandably concerned about the disruption involved in replacing it.
Customer identity is deeply embedded in digital experiences. Nobody wants to force millions of customers through password resets or rebuild every application just to move to a better identity solution.
That's why we've invested in making migration and coexistence easier.
Strivacity can work alongside existing identity providers, including Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, and Microsoft Entra. Our Journey Builder lets teams configure or code identity experiences, while our migration capabilities support phased transitions and password hash portability where technically feasible.
The goal is straightforward: make it easier to move forward without having to start over.
Enterprise CIAM with predictable pricing
Identity complexity shouldn't extend to licensing. Strivacity's pricing is primarily based on monthly active users, with core CIAM capabilities, dedicated infrastructure, and support included.
Rather than assembling and licensing multiple identity products, businesses get a single product with a more predictable commercial model.
It's a simpler approach to buying, deploying, and managing enterprise CIAM.
Built for agentic commerce, while delivering for enterprises today
As AI agents begin shopping, booking, and interacting with businesses on behalf of people, organizations will need to think differently about identity and access.
How do you know which customer an agent represents? What has that customer given the agent permission to do? And how do you maintain control and accountability when the interaction isn't happening directly with a person?
These are some of the questions we're working to solve through Strivacity's agent identity and delegated authorization capabilities, with further governance capabilities continuing to evolve.
But we also recognize that enterprises have immediate identity challenges to solve. They need to make registration easier, strengthen authentication, prevent fraud, improve customer experiences, manage partner access, and understand what's happening across their identity journeys.
That's what Strivacity is helping businesses do today.
We're investing in where identity is heading without losing sight of what our customers need right now.
The next chapter of CIAM is already here
We've never believed that the biggest vendor is automatically the best choice for every organization. What matters is whether a product can deliver the capabilities, flexibility, and experience a business needs.
That's the thinking behind Strivacity, and it's what continues to drive us.
We're competing with established vendors, helping enterprises rethink how they manage identity, and building for a future where customers, partners, and AI agents all need secure access.
And we're just getting started.

What is single-instance SaaS?
Single-instance SaaS is an architecture where each customer receives a dedicated, independently deployed application environment rather than sharing the same application instance with other customers.
With Strivacity, each customer has isolated compute, application services, database, and network resources. This provides greater workload isolation, predictable performance, and regional data residency while retaining the convenience of fully managed SaaS.
